Ah, I guess this marks the real, bona fide end of the previously mentioned radio silence. This marks the first time in years that I've gone two weeks without typing at all; no checking the usual websites or email; very little written material at all, outside a Janwillem Van de Wetering detective novel and a few dead tree issues of the Times. #

Hawaii was cooool. K and I got tan, hiked and swam a lot. Hung out with one another during waking hours. Got enough rest; I was able to speak in complete, descriptive, nontechnical sentences with relative ease. It was nice.

Two weeks is about the right vacation length; by the end we were somewhat, though not completely, ready to get home. Redeye back to Boston (there's no other way), and instead of resting, I went to work today. Now I need a nap.

Once the pictures are developed and I find a scanner maybe I'll post some. #
