So I now have a copy of Thomas Pynchon's Against the Day (link) staring at me from my pile of Christmas loot. This increasingly illiterate space's reading list now has a single, 1,100-page book in it. Together with Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon (link), which I read at least eighteen months ago, finishing Against the Day will make it two books I've read in the space of about three years. Maybe it's time to start taking the train again so I can read during the commute.

For the first time in years, if not ever, I'm having no trouble at all thinking of things to get the lovely wife for Christmas while I can't think of anything between $5 and $500 that I actually want. Hmm.

A season's worth of kid pictures is up. In lieu of providing you a direct link, my budding paranoia has produced the Photos page in the sidebar, which tells you where the pictures are.

I woke up this morning concerned that I was going to be dragging all day due to exhaustion, but upon going downstairs I was greeted by snow falling, which fixed any problems that the day might present. This space is now getting all geared up to teach the larger kid to ski.

So I spent about two and a half hours cropping kid photos and adjusting color and such. The everyone's very cute, but I've pretty much had enough of staring at my slightly out-of-focus photographs for one evening, and selecting the proper assortment and such is going to take at least another hour or two, so pictures will show up sometime in the next couple of days. Alas.

Hey, somebody start complaining if I don't post some cute pictures here this weekend. It's been over a year all of a sudden. Geez.
