My employer's offices have moved downtown. As with most buildings in downtown Boston, I'm about a five-minute walk from both South Station, Boston Common, and Quincy Market. The office space itself is sort of lousy, and my twenty-to-thirty-minute drive to a free parking spot is gone, but being closer to the center of the universe than to the seaport will probably compensate for a lot of inconvenience. So it goes.

I've flown to California for work, and two things are remarkable:

1. One is completely lost without a car in Mountain View.
2. The weather is disturbingly nice.

This space's eldest child has started using the word ginormous in conversation. She does at least use it correctly. We take solace in the fact that if we were English professors it would probably bother us much, much more, even than it does.
